Fishing has been slow in the morning but in the afternoon it has been much better. While there is no north current the water looks nice around 180. We are trolling small to medium size lures and the sails, tuna, and bonitas have been cooperating.
On the wrecks around 130' to 150' to the north of Government Cut there has been a few kings. Also the reef line to the north has shown more kings in 100-120'. For the kings, we are going deeper than normal, and since live bait has been harder to get we have decided to troll. Using wire lines and in-line trolling weights like the torpedoes allows us to go deeper. Also limit the boat speed to no more than 6 knots to allow your rigs to descend to the proper depth.
